Fried Apple Dump Cake
Next time you need to bring a dessert to dinner, don’t fret! Just make this easy recipe and go.
Ingredients
1 stick (1/2 cup) melted butter
1 cup white sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup half & half
1 beaten egg
2 teaspoons pure vanilla
2 (15 oz) cans Glory Foods Fried Apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon salt
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Directions
Butter a 10” x 8” baking pan; set aside
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, white sugar, flour, and baking powder until well combined.
Stir in half & half, egg and vanilla; transfer to prepared baking pan.
Drain apples (reserving syrup) and spoon onto the cake batter.
In a separate bowl, stir together the reserved juice, brown sugar, spice and salt. Drizzle over the apples and bake for one hour.
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
