Apple-Raisin Bread Pudding

A family favorite, Apple-Raisin Bread Pudding is full of flavor. Using Glory Foods Fried Apples adds richness to this classic.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can Glory Foods Fried Apples
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons freshly tested lemon
  • 6 cups cubed raisin bread
  • whipped cream
  • pumpkin pie spice

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Butter an 8 cup baking dish; set aside.
  3. Drain apples (saving liquid).
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest and reserved syrup from apples.
  5. Stir in raisin bread and mix until just combined.
  6. Transfer to prepared baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  7. To serve, heat apples in microwave and spoon over individual servings of bread pudding followed by the whipped cream.
  8. Sprinkle pumpkin pie spice on top, if desired.
