Field Peas & Snaps w/ Andouille Sausage

Make a delicious meal out of our Seasoned Field Peas & Snaps by adding Andouille sausage and serving over corn grits or rice.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs. olive oil
  • 2 cups ground andouille sausage
  • 1 cup green pepper (diced)
  • 1 cup red pepper (diced)
  • 1 cup red onions (diced)
  • 1 can Glory Foods Seasoned Field Peas & Snaps
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-heat.
  2. Add the oil, ground sausage and diced vegetables. Sauté 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add Glory Foods Seasoned Field Peas & Snaps, and water.
  4. Simmer 20 minutes on low heat until you get a rich brown sauce.
  5. Serve as a side dish or over cheese grits or rice.
